Organized by Gary Paul Baker, the event presented The First Annual, A Gay Affair Award and Art Show with Monterey Peninsula Pride on Sunday, October 13th in 2019.

I was invited to do a participatory art performance titled "Color Me Rainbow" for which I invited guests to paint my dress with tie dye to make it colorful as a result of collaboration and creative experience for community building. I also created an interactive art installation with colorful soft sculptures of sea creatures such as sardines and giant kelp inspired by the natural environment in the community.

A Gay Affair raised money for the LGBTQ Community and Monterey Peninsula Pride, created a platform for people to meet new people, and discussed local community events, politics, initiatives, and educational awareness. It also honored and celebrated community contributors with food, drinks, art and music.
