About the event

Celebrate Earth Day with a hands-on exploration of the intertidal ecosystem.

In this exploration, participants will explore the Great Tide Pool while developing their own inquiry practice. Guided by ecologist and artist Emily Gottlieb, we will learn how scientists and artists observe the world, identify patterns, and transform curiosity into deeper questions.

The workshop combines ecology, field observation, and creative documentation. Participants will explore the tide pools using tools commonly used in intertidal research, such as transects and quadrats, while recording their discoveries and telling stories through drawing, writing, photography, or video.

The experience follows a simple creative inquiry process: Think · Do · Share.

Participants will:

• Explore the tide pools using all five senses
