Now Accepting Interest for the 2026–2027 Cohort

Play Full Ground is a small, creativity-centered microschool where high school learners grow through socially engaged art, academic exploration, and hands-on making. Our program blends studio practice, conceptual thinking, and community connection, helping students develop creative agency, critical thinking, and self-directed learning skills.

Students begin by exploring ideas, deepen understanding through project-based inquiry, and build collaboration and creative confidence through shared projects and public-facing work.

We welcome learners who are curious, imaginative, and ready to engage in a flexible, inspiring environment—where learning is active, creative, and collaborative.

Creative Education

Full time program overview

Play Full Ground’s full-time program follows a flexible weekly rhythm that blends independent study, creative practice, and community engagement. Students move through exploration, deepening, and collaboration, developing curiosity, creative agency, and self-directed learning skills along the way.

Full-Time Benefits

Full-time learners experience a consistent studio rhythm that supports sustained inquiry and long-term creative growth. They have time to develop extended projects, build creative independence, and engage in collaborative, public-facing work. Students benefit from ongoing mentorship, peer collaboration, and a steady studio environment that fosters focus, experimentation, and reflective practice.

Independent

Learning Studio

- Think

Morning (9AM- 12PM)

Students begin the day with self-directed inquiry, exploring ideas, gathering inspiration, and reflecting on their questions. This studio fosters curiosity, attention, and ownership of learning, helping students develop critical thinking skills and self-directed habits.

Think-Do-Share Creative Studio

- Do

Afternoon (1PM- 3PM)

Students engage in project-based art and design across 2D, 3D, lens-based, and AI media. They experiment, iterate, and bring ideas to life, sometimes working in community spaces —exploring the principle that learning extends beyond the studio. This hands-on, interdisciplinary approach fosters creative risk-taking, problem-solving, and real-world connection.

Friday Weekly learning share

- Share

Morning + Lunch Social (9AM- 1PM)

Students present their projects, share insights, and gather feedback from peers and mentors. Reflection and dialogue help students refine their ideas, develop communication skills, and understand the impact of their work within the community.

Afterschool

Co-Creation Studio

(Optional)

Weekly Meeting + Studio (3- 5PM)

Students collaborate on public-facing art projects, applying skills and concepts from their studio work to real-world contexts. This optional program emphasizes teamwork, community engagement, and creative impact beyond the studio.
