What if we followed a dream?

What if following someone's dream meant doing something with it?

Dream Followers brings young people and adults together to share dreams, hopes, questions, and unfinished ideas, and explore what becomes possible when we follow them together.

It's an artistic experiment in participating in something before we know what it will become.

Why Dream Followers?

What if we took our imagination seriously?

We all have things we wish existed, experiences we'd like to have, questions we wonder about, or ideas we haven't quite figured out yet.

Sometimes a thought begins with a little "What if…?" or "Wouldn't it be interesting if…?" We imagine something, then let it go because it seems unrealistic, impractical, too difficult, or a little silly.

What if, instead of letting those thoughts go, we gave them room to grow?

What might happen if we explored those possibilities together?

What could happen if we brought our dreams into the same space?

One person's wish might spark another's imagination. An idea might change, grow, or become something entirely new. Dream Followers is a space where these connections can grow into shared experiences and actions, as we discover what we can make possible together.

I believe young people have the imagination and power to bring new possibilities into the world. When young people and adults engage with one another as equals, with young people's ideas and perspectives helping shape what happens next, we can discover things none of us would have imagined alone.

What happens when we follow a dream?

A dream can take you somewhere you never expected.

Especially when you follow it together.

Imagine bringing a thought, a wish, or a question into a room with people who have their own dreams and imaginations.

Someone shares an idea. Someone else sees something different in it. A conversation sparks a new question. Maybe two seemingly unrelated dreams find a connection. Someone knows a person, has a skill, or can offer a resource that opens up a new possibility.

One idea leads to another. We explore, experiment, try things out, change direction, and discover what we might make happen together.

We don't have to know where a dream will take us. That's part of the excitement.

Dream Followers is about following those possibilities, turning imagination into action, and seeing what can emerge when we do it together.

> Think
> Do
> Share

Imagine. Experiment. Share. Repeat.

Dream Followers moves through thinking, doing, and sharing. Not as steps to complete, but as an ongoing cycle of discovery.

THINK

Bring your dreams, questions, and curiosities. Listen to one another, exchange perspectives, follow questions, and explore possibilities.

DO

Follow what sparks your imagination. Mix ideas, experiment, make things, connect with people, find resources, and see what happens when we try.

SHARE

Bring what you've discovered and created back into the world. Share experiences, ideas, and unexpected outcomes. Let what emerges spark new questions and possibilities.

Then, begin again.

Everyone brings something.

Dream Followers brings young people and adults together, each with their own dreams, questions, experiences, and ways of seeing the world.

You don't need to have a big idea, a clear plan, or a special skill. Maybe you have a wish you've never said out loud, a question you've been wondering about, something you'd love to try, or simply curiosity about what we might make happen together.

Everyone comes as both a dreamer and a follower. We bring what we have, learn from one another, and discover what becomes possible when we put our imaginations and abilities into the mix.

Making dreams possible

Dream Followers is made possible with the support of the Artists & Creatives Grant from Community Engagement.

The project also includes a Dream Fund, a shared pool of resources available to help turn possibilities into action. How we use this fund is also part of the journey. Participants will explore ideas, consider possibilities, and decide together what they want to invest in and make happen.

It's not just about imagining what could be possible, but having a say in making it possible.

What we make possible is up to us.

How to get involved

For young people

Start with your dream.

What do you wish existed? What would you love to experience, explore, or try?

Share a thought, a question, a wish, or an unfinished idea. It doesn't have to be figured out.

Fill out the Dream Followers form to share your dream with me. We'll arrange a time to meet at Play Full Ground, talk more about what you're imagining, and explore what might happen next.

For adults

Love to share with young people?

Do you have a dream, an interest, a skill, a story, or an experience you'd love to bring into conversation with young people?

Maybe there's something you'd like to explore, make, or discover together.

Send me an email to tell me a little about yourself and what you'd be excited to share. As young people's conversations unfold, I'll look for opportunities to connect people, ideas, and possibilities.

Questions? Just say hello.

Curious about Dream Followers?

Not sure where you fit in, or have a question before getting involved?

I'd love to hear from you.
